Contact UsRachel Powlen is an Operations Assistant at Aligned Climate Capital, an asset manager investing in companies and real assets driving the clean energy transition. She supports operational efficiency across the firm by managing investment tracking, reporting, and process optimization for both the Aligned Climate Fund (ACF) and Aligned Solar Partners (ASP). She also oversees communications, vendor relationships, and office coordination across Aligned’s New York and Los Angeles offices.
Previously, Rachel held roles at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and Visible Hands VC, where she gained experience in cleantech and impact investing.
Rachel holds a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Sustainable Business Practices from Northeastern University. She is based in the New York office.
Eunyoung Shin is Vice President of Finance at Aligned Climate Capital, an asset manager investing in companies and real assets driving the clean energy transition. She manages the firm’s finance and asset management functions, including accounting, financial planning and reporting, and cash management across Aligned and its affiliates.
Previously, Eunyoung was a tax specialist at Matthews, Panariello P.C., Buchbinder Tunick & Company LLC, and other public accounting firms, where she worked on corporate and nonprofit tax returns across multiple industries.
Eunyoung holds a B.S. in Finance and an MBA in Finance from the University of New Haven. She is based in the New York office.
Eric Lee is Senior Vice President at Aligned Climate Capital, an asset manager investing in companies and real assets driving the clean energy transition. He leads the firm’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) diligence and reporting, investment impact assessment, and investor relations. He ensures that Aligned integrates ESG and impact principles across its investment strategies and portfolio management.
Previously, Eric was an investment professional at TriLinc Global, a global impact investing fund manager based in Los Angeles, where he led ESG & Impact efforts across all portfolios and served on the firm’s Credit and Sustainability & Impact Committees. He also worked at Sustainable Insight Capital Management, an ESG-focused public equities fund in New York.
Eric holds a B.S. from Cornell University and an M.S. in Sustainability Management with a concentration in Sustainable Finance from Columbia University. He is based in the Los Angeles office.
Tanatswa Mapondera is Senior Associate within the Aligned Climate Fund (ACF), Aligned Climate Capital’s venture strategy. ACF invests in early-stage companies utilizing proven technologies across four key climate sectors: Clean Energy, Efficient Buildings, Electric Transport, and Sustainable Land Use. He works across both deal sourcing and portfolio management—supporting due diligence, financial modeling, and market research for new investments while also assisting portfolio companies in strategy and growth initiatives.
Previously, Tanatswa was an Associate at Climate Finance Advisors, where he helped develop climate finance strategies for public and private sector clients. He also gained venture capital experience as a Venture Fellow at Alumni Ventures.
Tanatswa holds a B.A. in Political Economy with a minor in Environmental Economics and Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.S. in Management from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. He is based in the New York office.
Mary King is a Vice President within the Aligned Climate Fund (ACF), Aligned Climate Capital’s venture strategy. ACF invests in early-stage companies utilizing proven technologies across four key climate sectors: Clean Energy, Efficient Buildings, Electric Transport, and Sustainable Land Use. Mary leads deal sourcing, due diligence, and execution for new investments, managing the full investment pipeline and financial analysis.
Previously, Mary was an Investment Analyst at Backcast Partners, a private credit and non-control private equity firm focused on middle-market investments.
Mary holds a B.S. in Finance, Accounting, and Management Information Systems from Northeastern University. She is based in the New York office.
Nneka Kibuule is Principal within the Aligned Climate Fund (ACF), Aligned Climate Capital’s venture strategy. ACF invests in early-stage companies utilizing proven technologies across four key climate sectors: Clean Energy, Efficient Buildings, Electric Transport, and Sustainable Land Use. She leads venture portfolio management and investment strategy, working closely with portfolio companies to drive growth and create strategic value.
Before joining Aligned, Nneka served as the Director of Energy Innovation at Elemental Excelerator. She also worked in strategic finance at Pacific Gas & Electric and NextEra Energy Resources, gaining extensive experience in the energy sector. Her expertise spans capital investment, stakeholder engagement, customer strategy, innovation, and organizational design.
Nneka holds an MBA in Strategy and Innovation from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a Master of Finance with an Energy Specialization from Tulane University, and a B.S. in Finance from Hampton University. She is based in the Los Angeles office.
Katia Garrigoux Vargas is an Associate within Aligned Solar Partners (ASP), Aligned Climate Capital’s clean energy infrastructure strategy. ASP owns and operates distributed solar and energy storage assets in the U.S. She supports origination, structured finance, and capital management, contributing to the execution of ASP’s investment strategy.
Previously, Katia gained experience in trading and business intelligence within banking and corporate institutions. She also worked as a MarTech project manager at Numbery, where she focused on data-driven strategies and operational efficiencies.
Katia holds a B.S. in Mathematics, an M.S. in Financial Engineering, and a graduate certification in Sustainability Finance from Columbia University. She is based in the Los Angeles office.
Zach Good is Vice President at Aligned Solar Partners (ASP), Aligned Climate Capital’s clean energy infrastructure strategy. ASP owns and operates distributed solar and energy storage assets in the U.S. He oversees construction and long-term operations for Aligned’s real asset portfolio, including distributed solar projects, battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure. He also supports early-stage outreach and due diligence efforts.
Before joining Aligned, Zach managed development and EPC for distributed solar projects at ReVision Energy. He also served as the U.S. Head of Construction for BNRG Renewables, a Dublin-based utility-scale solar developer.
Zach holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington. He is based in Portland, Maine.
Julia Magliozzo is a Vice President within Aligned Solar Partners (ASP), Aligned Climate Capital’s clean energy infrastructure strategy. ASP owns and operates distributed solar and energy storage assets in the U.S.. She leads project due diligence, negotiates purchase agreements, and manages acquisitions. Additionally, Julia supports structured finance transactions and asset management to enhance the financial and operational performance of the ASP portfolio.
Before joining Aligned, Julia worked in operations at Ecogy Energy, a commercial and industrial solar developer, where she managed project development, procurement, construction, asset management, and financing.
Julia holds a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from The George Washington University and an M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University. She is based in the New York office.
Dylan Hammer is Senior Vice President within the Aligned Solar Partners (ASP) team, Aligned Climate Capital’s clean energy infrastructure strategy. ASP owns and operates distributed solar and energy storage assets in the U.S. He leads origination, structured finance, and investment execution for ASP, while also supporting investment strategy and execution for development companies within Aligned Climate Fund, Aligned’s venture strategy.
Previously, Dylan worked on the investments team at Soltage, a distributed solar and storage developer, where he sourced, underwrote, and financed solar and storage projects. He also managed capital investments for development and construction assets. Earlier, he worked in project development and financing at SunPower.
Dylan holds a B.A. in Government from Bowdoin College. He is based in the New York office.
Megan Neligan is Director of Aligned Solar Partners (ASP), Aligned Climate Capital’s clean energy infrastructure strategy. ASP owns and operates distributed solar and energy storage assets in the U.S. She leads origination, acquisitions, and project finance, including securing construction and permanent debt. Megan also oversees portfolio management, asset operations, and construction while working with Aligned’s leadership to shape ASP’s long-term strategy.
Previously, Megan was a Vice President at Irradiant Partners, where she managed renewable infrastructure and climate credit investments. She was also a Senior Associate at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, working on renewable energy private equity. Earlier in her career, she held project finance roles at Cypress Creek Renewables and began her clean energy career at Sungevity.
Megan holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies with minors in Music and Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is based in the Los Angeles office.
Kellie Valladares is Director of Operations at Aligned Climate Capital, an asset manager investing exclusively in companies and real assets driving the clean energy transition. She oversees the firm’s core business functions, including human resources, financial operations, investor relations, marketing, and compliance. She also manages Aligned’s relationships with third-party service providers, ensuring seamless operational support across the firm.
Previously, Kellie held operations and HR leadership roles at Attentive and Palantir, as well as other venture-backed technology companies, where she gained experience in scaling teams and structuring operations in dynamic environments.
Kellie holds a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She is based in the New York office.
James S. “Jamie” Rubin is Chief Investment Officer at Aligned Climate Capital, an asset manager investing in companies and real assets driving the clean energy transition. He oversees the firm’s investment strategy, deploying capital into climate-focused companies and infrastructure to deliver strong financial returns.
Previously, Jamie spent two decades in the private sector, including as a partner at private equity firms One Equity Partners and BC Partners. Most recently, Jamie served as CEO of Meridiam NA, managing a $1.2 billion infrastructure fund dedicated to large-scale public-private partnerships. His leadership was instrumental in landmark projects, including the development of LaGuardia Terminal B, the Miami Beach monorail, and the Purple Line extension of the D.C. Metro.
Jamie has also been a senior government official, holding key roles in New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration, including leading the Office of Storm Recovery, where he directed the disbursement of $4.4 billion in federal disaster recovery funds following Superstorm Sandy. Earlier, he served as New York Director for President Obama’s Hurricane Sandy Task Force and as a Senior Advisor to HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan.
Jamie is Chairman of the Board of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a J.D. from Yale Law School. He is based in the New York office.
Brendan Bell is Chief Operating Officer of Aligned Climate Capital, an asset manager investing exclusively in companies and real assets that are driving the clean energy transition. In this role, he is involved in the firm’s venture and infrastructure strategies, as well as leading capital formation and corporate operations. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.
Brendan has more than twenty years of experience in the clean energy transition as an investor and a senior government official. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Summit Ridge Energy, Evenergi, and ChargeNet Stations.
Prior to co-founding Aligned, Brendan served as Director of Strategic Initiatives for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office, where he managed a $32 billion loan portfolio spanning renewable energy, energy storage, advanced automotive technologies, and other clean energy technologies. Earlier in his career, he was a Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ), working on climate and clean energy policy.
Brendan holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Macalester College and an M.A. in Public Management from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy. He is based in the Los Angeles office.
