Freeport Solar is a 650 kW (AC) / 928 kW (DC) ground-mounted solar installation supplying approximately 1.21 million kWh of clean electricity per year to Central Maine Power’s grid. The project aims to reduce reliance on fossil fuels while expanding solar energy accessibility in the region. As part of a larger initiative to deploy distributed solar, Freeport Solar seeks to ensure long-term sustainability and local energy benefits.
